![]() No murders mean no cartels fighting for turf.My love affair with Mexico has lasted for many years. LA CAROLINA is somewhat safe but you need to know where you are, a block makes a difference.ĮL SALTO is another neighborhood in which a block makes a difference.ĪLTAVISTA is somewhat safe but try to stay as little as possible.įrom there, there are a lot more neighborhoods and nearby counties so my advice is to read the news of the place you want to go from the the past month or so and check for murders. Is close to San Diego, once you stop seeing nice restaurants you've gone too far. You might not die but you will be robbed at gunpoint. If possible try to take the Pullman to Cuernavaca-Centro.ĭiego Barona aka LA BARONA is another neighborhood that is the lowest of the low. If you take the bus from the airport to Cuernavaca it'll take you to Cuernavaca-Casino, which is located right on the limit where downtown ends and La Estación begins. LA ESTACIÓN: don't ever go there unless you want to die. Vista Hermosa, Reforma, San Diego and Burgos neighborhoods are for rich ppl so is safe, Malls see very little crime and most have rifle armed security (last time something bad happened near a mall was like 12 years ago when a cartel had a shootout and then hung 3 people from an interstate highway overpass near Galerias Cuernavaca). I lived in Cuernavaca 10 years, Touristic places in Cuernavaca are relatively safe.ĭowntown (aka Centro Historico, just avoid the Market and La Fayuca, which is another market for knockoffs, also avoid interviews, last time a sindicate leader was shot in the head point blank with press sorrounding him).
